Mount Higashiyama

Started from the further of two trailheads along the road past the Kiyomizu-dera temple area, took a short side trail to the summit (no views), and completed a loop that returned us to the trailhead that is nearer to the temple.

Parts of the trail were rocky, so we were glad to have proper shoes, but the trail was easy to follow, and clear of obstacles.

Despite the crowds at the temple, we only encountered two other parties on this hike.
